Bughouse
Bughouse (or siamese chess) is a variant of chess played between two player teams on two separate boards. The special feature of the game is that pieces you capture are transferred to your partner, who is playing with the opposite color pieces from yourself. He may "drop" such a piece on an empty square as a subsequent move in his game.
STARTING A BUGHOUSE MATCH
- Find a partner by using the bugwho command to list users who are open for partnering, and the command to offer partnerships.
- > Find an opponent team, also listed with the bugwho command. You may also use the Bughouse channel to drum up scarce opponents.
- Then, have one of your team challenge his desired opponent on the other team to a bughouse match.
-
When the match is accepted and all four players are present, then both games are started instantaneously and two Game Windows are displayed for each player.
Pieces taken by one player automatically appear in the captured pieces display of his partner and can be dragged onto the board as a move. Between the two game boards is a one-click messaging system with which you and your partner can seemlessly communicate.
